Wow, what a night! On Saturday 24th September, team #RudeChristmasJumpers headed off to the Big Brash Ball at the Dintingdale Restaurant, part of Scarthingwell Golf Club in Tadcaster, and had a simply great time enjoying the night’s entertainment, all in support of Prostate Cancer UK and key fundraiser Lloyd Pinder.
On the night, the entertainment offered by seven-piece act Radio City was fantastically engaging and generated a great atmosphere after everyone had sat down and enjoyed a slap-up meal.
The event’s guests wore their best to the black-tie event, and were snapped with the ‘Brash-a-Gram’ template – a cheeky piece of kit that allowed guests to put on their best cheesy grin!
The event was held in support of Prostate Cancer UK, specifically Lloyd Pinder, who was diagnose with prostate cancer at the age of 44. To date, Lloyd has raised over £6,000 for the cause by taking part in events such as Jeff Stelling’s Men United March – a march launched as part of an initiative to make men more aware of the dangers of prostate cancer. Quite a lot for one man – well done Lloyd!
Our newest jumper
At the event, we were also able to unveil a new jumper in support of Prostate Cancer UK - the naughty jumper raises awareness in the RCJ way! Jumpers are available for pre-order with delivery guaranteed for the 3rd week of October.
Recently, the RCJ team wrote a blog article on the not-so-merry stats surrounding prostate cancer – if you want to know why we’re getting behind the campaign, simply take a look at the stats!
All in all, a good time was had by all and team RCJ is proud to be behind such an important cause and look forward to getting involved again
